Tami Taggart (Owner/Director) is a multi-talented teacher, choreographer and studio owner with over 30
years experience in ballet, tap, jazz, lyrical and gymnastics.  She has had the privilege to study with Luigi, Roni
Mahler, Frank Hatchett, Gwen Bowen and Roberta Thornsberry.  Tami has performed nationally and
professionally throughout the USA and has performed in such musicals as South Pacific, Fiddler on the Roof,
Oklahoma, and Chorus Line.  Judging for numerous competitions, teaching workshops and traveling with her own
Company Dancers, keeps her busy throughout the year. Tami’s artistic and versatile choreography has won her
students top honors at many dance competitions and conventions.  As a teacher and artistic director, she is
committed to creating a positive environment for her students while building their self-esteem.  Her students learn
to take pride in themselves and in the art of performing.  Tami’s energy, creativity and love for dance is a great
contribution to performers of all ages!  Family is a strong aspect in her life and she looks forward to extending
that family at Artistry in Motion!
Jeni Kemper (Owner/Director) graduated from the University of Arizona in May 2005 with a BFA in
Dance.  Her early training in ballet, jazz, modern and tap came from several studios in Colorado Springs, CO.
She has had the opportunity to work with Mia Michaels, Debbie Allen, Bill Hastings, and several other
world-renown choreographers. Jeni received a full scholarship to Gus Giordano Jazz Dance Chicago, as well as
the opportunity to study intensively with River North Dance Company. Upon graduating, Jeni worked for Royal
Caribbean Cruise Line as a dancer/choreographer in the production shows.  Jeni has been a mentor and
instructor to many students throughout the U.S. and enjoys sharing her love for the performing arts.  She has
received many Top Choreography Awards at numerous dance competitions. Being a mother herself, Jeni is
sensitive and realizes the necessity of building confidence and self esteem in children.  Jeni is looking forward to
expanding her career as studio owner for Artistry in Motion, teaching and traveling with her students, and to be
the best mom to her daughter, Jordyn Lee.

Damon Banks (Acro Teacher) started off at an early age seriously involved in
martial arts, which led him to study seven different styles including Kung-Fu, Mia
Tia Kickboxing, and Jeet-Kune-do. This passion for the arts led him into dance at
the age of thirteen. Starting with Acrobatics, Hip Hop, Jazz, he eventually took
Ballet. Dance and acrobatics quickly became one of his greatest passions.
Excelling at Hip Hop and Acrobatics he turned to teaching at age 16, doing
various, local master classes and workshops. He competed with a studio b crew at
several competitions and went to nationals twice in Las Vegas. He attributes his
talents and gifts to the Lord Jesus Christ and keeps God first in all that he does.
He says that he is, b a student of dance,b always striving to keep on the cutting
edge of choreography and technique. Now in his mid-twenties, Damon is
continuing his dance career by his instructing acrobatics. In every class he brings
energy, fun, and creativity as well as a solid learning curve. " Acro is an action, it
is an attitude, but most of all it needs to become a passion."
Darnell Graham (Contemporary/Lyrical/Jazz Funk Teacher) was born in Long
Beach,California but was raised in Lancaster,California. He began dancing at the age of
eight at Extensions Performing Arts Academy, under the direction of Lara Arnaz. At the
age of 13 he began training with Marlene Hall at the Antelope Valley Performing Arts
Conservatory. During his five years at the Conservatory he trained in tap, jazz, ballet,
modern, hip hop, jazzfunk, contemporary, and lyrical. He's performed in a production of
Tribute to Fosse on the Royal Caribbean Cruise Lines.  Darnell began dancing
professionally at the age of 17 after being signed by Clear Talent Group/Agency.Some
of his credits include Nike Commercial, The Jump Off Dance Show, Jamie King Rock
Your Body Music Video, and many more. He's choreographed Black Action Showcase,
Doherty High School Talent Show,  and Doherty High School Assembly. Darnell has
worked with Tiffany Burton, Nick Lazzerine, Shane Sparks, Donyelle Jones, Veda Burton,
Brian Drake. Marty Kudelka, Dave Scott, and many more. He was a member of top
Choreographer Shane Sparks Floor Rockers Hip Hop Squad. Darnell Served As a back
up dancer for pop artist Mia Mattei at Universal City Walks Hollywood Launch. He also
performed with Jasmine Reid at Kids Pop Academy in Hollywood.  He specializes in Hip
Hop, JazzFunk and Contempoary/Lyrical dance. Darnell recently relocated to the
Colorado Springs area, where he hopes to continue his career.
Juan Villaneuva (Hip Hop Teacher) Current student at Pikes Peak
Community College. Grew up in CA, watching the best in the business. Juan
is excited to be at Artistry in Motion to share his knowledge with the students.
His love for dance shows through his classes.
